Hi Friends, I was in a rural community development group of PCVs in 1964-66. In 1965, I was in a small mountain community about an hours outside of Cuenca called Remigio Crespo Toral (up the mountain from Gualaceo). I was involved along with the community in the construction of a USAID/CARE funded 2-1/2 room elementary school house. I am curious --- Is there anyone that can tell me if the school is still standing and in use by that community today? Is there anyone out there that might like to take the hour walk up to Remigio Crespo and see what condition the building is in today? It was built with plenty of re-enforcing steel rebar to make it earthquake resistant!! Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Lloyd Marsters
