Peace Corps Ecuador's Volunteer Advisory Committee (VAC) is running its annual fundraiser. The brand-new 2007 calendar features volunteer pictures from across Ecuador - from the Galapagos Islands and the Pacific coast to the high Sierran Andes and the Amazon basin. This year's calendar profiles volunteers at work with an emphasis on the variety of programs and diversity of community projects. The money raised will support new volunteer projects. VAC offers small grants to each new PCV group available within the first six months in site. These grants give the volunteers an opportunity to start small community projects, easing the transition into the community and enhancing community groups' esteem. Calendars can be ordered from FOE. Orders are placed online and processed in Quito. Orders for mailed calendars cost $10 and $5 if you want to pick up the order from the office. If you plan to pick up the calendar, print out the order confirmation and present it in the Peace Corps office.
